As a child, it is what you wanted to have. Remember how it feltlike to finally get it as a birthday present from your parents?You were downright happy because you finally got what youwanted. Your step into independence and your firsttransportation, the bicycle. E.T. made it defy gravity by makingit fly, avoiding those that are coming to get them. But if E.T.only have known that these seemingly harmless looking bicyclecan lead to serious accidents, then he would have just made allof them fly, safest that way. But then, that was just Hollywood.This is real life. Bicycle is one way of safe transportation.Convenient, economic and effective, plus it does not requiregasoline or any of the maintenance that other vehicles need. Itcan also be taken anywhere, hand carried for that matter. Havingthese characteristics does not make them the safest, oraccident-free. On the other hand, it makes them more prone toaccidents. There is the ever-present threat of the othervehicles. Then is the drivers and the bikes themselves. It isdefinitely disadvantageous not only in size but also instructure. One bump and you will find yourself flying, like thatin E.T. Many safety gears have been devised for bicyclists. Butcan they save you? For example, the helmet. It was created toshield the head from impacts thus preventing head injuries. Butit cannot prevent you from getting hit by cars or othervehicles; it doesnt prevent you from getting hurt. Gettingthrough traffic and stoplights is easier but getting out of itis another matter. Drivers of the bicycles are the one likely tohave major injuries in collision accidents. The causes of thisranging from drivers of other vehicles not seeing them becauseof not having warning lights to accidentally hitting them whilepassing on the street. Bicyclists should know that in theseaccidents, they are also the one likely to get paid forliabilities attained. Laws have been made regarding bicyclesoccupying the streets and it is does not usually go to theirfavor. However, getting aid from the experts will surely bringmore positive results. These are the persons that made takes onbicycle as their expertise and helps those who have gone throughthe hazards of others vehicles. Believing that even though it isjust a bicycle, people still have their right to maximum claims.Accidents happen when you least expect it. It doesnt mean bigand fast vehicles to be involved in this. It only takes twowheels.
